In cooperation with Smart Colectiv, Work Organisation and actor Branislav Trifunović, CYI runs new project named Face of the street.
Face of the street will be monthly periodical, published by this group and will be sold by homeless people, street children and most vunerable citizens.
Mission is to help solving the problem of poverty and reduction of social and cultural exclusion of homeless people, trough making conditions for legal income.
Basic idea is to publish and distribute periodicals, which then would be sold by specialy trained homeless people.Trough this work they would be earning legal income.In the first year it is planed to engage up to 30 vendors.Afterwards this network would expand.
Trough this work vendors will have the opportunity to develop healty relations and socialize in working atmosphere were responsibility and respect will be the prioroty.
During the project vendors would be able to gain practical, life expiriences, skills and knowledges, otherwise unavailable to them.
Benefit of this project is not just economical.It makes strong relations between vendor and reader since they meet face to face.It helps all the citizans to understant key points of social exclusion of homeless people.
Periodical would cover topics significant for social development.It will respect human rights and universal values.It would be the chance for the most vunarable to speak for themselves and about themselves.
